I have covered a cake and the fondant is now wet, I cannot smooth it aqs my smoothers stick. what can I do? Do I have to wait for it to dry???

Put a fan on it and let it dry. Depending on how wet it is, you could try dusting some cornstarch or powder sugar over it.

Was your cake frozen?

TexasSugar, does the fan really work? I covered a cake yesterday that i had put in the fridge and it was wet also. I didnt try the fan though even though a friend told me to try it.

Living in Florida the humidity is killer when it comes to fondant. I made a bow for a cake and after two days it still would not dry. So, I put it in a back bedroom that has a room air conditioner directly in front of the vent. Then set up a dehumidifier in that room, closed the door and within a couple of hours the bow was perfectly dry and set. birthday.gif
