I made 2 batches of chocolate MMF fondant and I had such hard time with it!! I used a recipe here that has cocoa powder. and corn syrup. I don't know what I am doing wrong. it was crumbly and dry so I added some corn syrup and used a little shortening and it became sticky but still dry I don't know how to explain it!! so I went to store and bought wilton's chocolate fondant and paid 9$ for it (small box) ( I didn't have any coupons!!) and it wasn't good and couldn't work with it. anyone has a chocolate mmf recipe that works? or a scratch chocolate rolled fondant recipe? thanks thumbs_up.gif

I had a student the other night , that used
the chocolate wilton fondant and she covered a beautiful cake with it. It smelled so good and she let us taste it. It smelled and tasted like a tootsie roll. I am anxious to try it now. Sorry it didn,t work out for you.

here is a chocolate mmf that everyone like. i haven,t tried it.

Many on this site loves michele foster's fondant recipe and she tells how to make the chocolate. I have made the regular and it is very tasty and pliable. hth

I too have had issues with chocolate fondant! I bought chocolate satin ice, I'll never try to make my own again, this worked beautifully! I used it on my five tier safari cake.
