I just spent $8.99 on 2 ounces of vanilla extract... I have to say that kind of hurt!
Has anyone ever made their own vanilla extract? I've heard it's pretty simple; just some vodka or rum and grade B (extract quality) vanilla beans. If anyone has done this any input or info would be great! Like what beans did you use? where did you get them? what kind of vodka or rum?
