I have a wedding cakedue tomorrow with fondant striping on it to match the bridesmaids dresses. The color is Apple from Davids bridal and it is red but a deep red. I have Satin ice red which is way too bright. I have done everything under the sun to get this red deeper without losing the "red" I used black, brown, green . blue , purple.. nothing is working.. im pulling my hair out here. cake is due tomorrow AM. Any suggestions on how to get this color? Thank you!

I usually add black to get a deeper red. Are you using black fondant to get it darker or are you using black gel color?

the mor eI look at it the more it resembles a burgandy color.... I tlook slike it has that tint of purple., but when I mixed purple or blue it just looked horrible.

sometimes you have to be careful making the darker colors because a lot of colors especially black and red will deepen over time- what looks too bright right now may get darker yet after a few hours. Good luck with your cake!
