Question, is there a trick or technique in creating that Disney font for lettering on a cake?

I have my first Mickey cake coming up and I would like to put the birthday boys name in Disney font.

Can anyone out there guide me??

Thanks!!

Flo

You probably should read the post "Help copyright" - What to do when contacted by a major company.

Thanks for the info! I just checked out the copyright forum...yikes!!

Has anyone actually done Disney font before? Is there a template? Or should I pipe it on fondant with RI?

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Without looking at the DaFont link, it's probably the same thing I use. Print out what you want to spell, and then make ropes of GP or fondant, cutting and splicing and smooshing where necessary, right over the printed template, and when it's firmed up enough to move, transfer it to the cake. Getting sued over using Disney font, is a bit of a stretch. icon_confused.gif

I printed what I wanted, piped over it in RI then transfered the letters to the cake.

How do you stick the RI onto the cake? Dab of water?

Thanks for the idea =)

The cake I applied them to was Fondant so a bit of H20 worked just fine. If it was a BC cake, I'd use a bit of icing or just apply before it had crusted.

BTW, Put a piece of parchment or wax paper over you printout to pipe on (goes without saying but thought I'd clarify).
