Does anyone know where I can find the molds to do the chocolate covered cakesters. Spinning Leaf had them at one time, but I cannot find them on their website anymore. Thanks for the help.

No license or insurance. Put lead wires in cakes, never wash hands, cake boards are used cardboard. No contracts cause I can't read or write. No lawyer cause I'm judgment proof. I bake with old mix boxes found behind Walmart. Now about my question

I looked for her too. So are the ones on top just a comparative view? To me they looked like those stacked wedding cake products verryone carries.

It does say that they are the four mold ones, but it just didn't look right to me. I own them but I don't remember the presentation like that.

This can't be right. I just measured mine.

The standard Oreo mold is 2 x .75

My Cakester mold is 2.3 x 1.

LOL...I couldn't figure it out either. I started searching thinking I might like to add that to my already overflowing collection of "toys" and had never heard of a Cakester mold. I'm not particularly interested in covering Oreos but I thought if there was a wedding cake type mold that I could coat with chocolate then put plugs of baked cake into it and seal with chocolate, it might be something my brides might be interested in.

the link I posted for Spinning Leaf had measurements of Cavity Size: 2" x 2" x 1.30" but it's not clear to me if that results in a stacked effect of not.

southerncross, I couldn't find a contact source for them so I suggested lynn ask on CC. But... the regular and the Cakester will make a stacked "cake". I have a picture on my site showing the two sizes stacked.

I hope they still have them hiding because I only have two molds and these are actually better tasting than the Oreos.

Hopefully they will be there somewhere.

Thanks lynn, I wanted to get more for the holidays. Two trays is a time waster. I have about 15 of the regular ones.

Don't know if you received an answer from them yet but this is SpinningLeaf's Cakester mold:

They do now have the mold available--it's on their website.

Just linked to this from another thread talking about the cakester mold. Right after I sent an email asking about the product, I found the mold on their website. I found it by typing "big" in the search box.

It IS called a "big standard cookie mold". Here's the link to that page:

You need to grab it before it hides again. I don't know why it is always so elusive.

On the other thread I called it a "snipe" mold..... (Here....Snipe......Here.......Snipe.......)

Do you use regular Oreo Cakesters in the mold or do you put in your custom, gourmet creations?

Thanks

I've only done cakesters. When I do these, it's usually for a party situation and the person found it and ordered it because they love Oreos. My guess is that they may have even put them in the google search. I have a small part of my business that comes from people already loving Oreos, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Snicker's, etc. It's evident in cheesecake orders too.
