Hi help!!!! Please!!! when you put decorative cake wires in a cake how do you keep them from tearing at the fondant and staying upright????
I'm only a hobby baker and quite new at this so I might not be the best person to answer but....
When I need to put something on a cake that has wires, I put in a drinking plastic straw and partially fill it with either frosting or melted chocolate and then place the wire in. This keeps the wires from coming into direct contact with cake and the frosting/melted chocolate keeps it in place. Hope this helps.

Yes u should use coffee stix, fill with some royal icing (i have even used
bc) wire is not food safe
