I have a Cricut that I've not used much because I haven't found the best way to cut gumpaste, fondant, etc, so I'm really excited to try the IcingImages icing sheets. I do have a question, though: is it possible to airbrush a white sheet and let it dry and then cut it with the Cricut? I'd like to do a rainbow effect.

I have airbrush the sheets and it worked great! But keep in mind the colour will run if wet so be careful when applying. Also I got some of the colour on my fingers so I ended up with some blue where I didn't want it!

Yes, everyone is right! You can airbrush the premium sheets, they hold the ink very well. I haven't had people complain about running, but I guess if you let too much color build up in one area it will run. Mike Terry does a lot of airbrushing with the sheets and I as sure he would be happy to answer your questions. You can google him to find his email. But did you know that we also sell solid color icing sheets for use with electronic cutters, ounces and other scrapbooking tools

Are the premium sheets good to use with an electronic cutter?

They are awesome! You dotnt even have to remove the from the backing to cut.

Actually, our Premium Icing Sheets do come in white and you can print or airbrush on those. We also have Designer Color Premium Icing Sheets which are precolored. You can also print and airbrush on those as well. Keep in mind, if you print on them (the background color will change the apparance of the print) If you airbrush on them, the background color does not interfere but just acts like a canvas. I know many of the airbrush companies are using our sheets in their classes. They prefer the darker colors that we have as they really have a beautiful effect. The white, black and the colors in our brights are the favorite for airbrushing. I will try and get some sample pictures posted so you can see them. But you can also use our Designer Color Premium Icing Sheets since they are already precolored for convenience. Our sheets are the ones that are recommended by Linda McClure as holding up the best for electronic cutting. She likes them particularly because they do not have to be removed from the backing to be cut and they are able to hold up to the intricate details of more elaborate designs.

I originally posted the question about airbrushing. It turned out great and I was so pleased with the results! This is a picture of the cake- the lettering and swirls were cut from a sheet that I airbrushed first. I love the suppleness of these sheets. And they melded great with the IMBC icing- better than similar products I've used in the past.
