Freezing Brownies?

Hi,
I need advice on freezing brownies. Should I do it? Has anyone else ever done this and what were your results? I volunteer with the USO and plan to bake 100 brownies ahead of time for an event. I know most baked goods freeze pretty good since I've never frozen brownies before, I need some feedback.

Thanks, in advance.

absolutely - brownies freeze very well and thaw within minutes. Be sure to wrap them air-tight and place in plastic bag/bin. I've done it a million times!

MMMMMmmmmm! I love brownies! But they need to be out of sight ! I bake, cut with the Wilton heart shape brownie cutter, wrap in little bags ( like I would for a cookie ) put in tupperware or a tin and toss them into the freezer. Just take out what I need and they are just as good as a fresh brownie .

The bakery I worked at made all the brownies at once for a whole day, then froze them all to fill orders later. The texture was virtually indistinguishable from the fresh ones. WRAP THEM WELL!!!

What should they be wrapped in?

So can I put them in a tupperware container with parchment paper between each layer??

I freeze them all the time in the container I've baked them in. Just let them cool off and wrap tightly. If you needed to you could purchase foil pans and bake in them, pop them into zip lock baggies and your all set for months in the freezer. I like to cut them when they are still slightly frozen, that's how you get a really clean cut.

Thanks for the info! I may just cool and use ziplock freezer bags.

My MIL freezes her frosted brownies all the time. I think she just puts them in tupperware and freezes them that way. I'd rather put them in ziplocks and then place in the tupperware. (Only using the tupperware to protect the brownies from getting squashed by other items in the freezer.)

Ok want to make sure I understand how you guys freeze your brownies.  I have to make some for 5/11 and would like to get them done ahead of time because I have cupcakes and cookies for Friday and Saturday.  I plan on frosting them with Toba's chocolate frosting.  For you guys that put them in a zip lock bag...do you cut them and just put them in a bag or do you put them on a plate and layer them??  Also when you thaw them do you leave them in the zip lock until completely thawed.  I have frozen cupcakes that were frosted before but they were in a plastic cupcake container so that was easy.

Thanks!!
