Does anyone have a go-to shortcut recipe to make caramel sauce. I need some caramel to fill my cupcakes and was looking for a quicker method than what I am doing. Thanks.

I know some people that use sweetened condensed milk to make a carmel like sauce. I know it's very fast, but I'm sorry I don't have the recipe. Maybe you can 'google' for it?

Depending on how you make it it can be fast. If you boil the cake it takes many hours because it takes about 3 hours to cook then you have to let it cool completely before opening the can.

Nestle's makes the Dulce de Leche, and all the cooking the condensed milk is done for ya. icon_smile.gif

I just found this and made it. It was so quick and easy!!!! Go to Tracey's Culinary Adventures blog on October 9th for the Easiest Homemade Caramel Sauce. There is also a link to it on my blog if that is easier. Good luck.

Thanks for the information. I am going to try this. I have used several recipes from Cooks Country/Cooks Illustrated and everyone of them have been great. I am excited to try this. Thanks again.
