I am supposed to make a horseshoe cupcake cake for a birthday in a couple days and I can't seem to figure out how to make it work and still have it look professional. I planned on forming at least the basic shape out of the cupcakes and then laying a more exact horseshoe shape out of fondant on the top. I've never made a cupcake cake before so I'm just a little nervous. Not to mention they want chocolate cupcakes with chocolate frosting and white cupcakes with white frosting all incorporated into it. I don't see how this won't turn into a huge mess. Does anyone have any advice on how to do this?
