I did a guest spot on a local tv show yesterday, here's the video if anyone's intersted. I was supposd to be demo'ing frozen buttercream transfer, but of course I talked too much and ran out of time, hahaha! They did ask me to come back another time, so I didn't stink it up too badly. http://acaketorememberva.blogspot.com/2011/10/virginia-this-morning-appearance.html
Congratulations !! that is so great... good for you..
I know how that feels.. about three years ago a whole crew came to my house at 6:00 AM (yes early in the morning) on Christmas Eve to do a segment on my cakes... I got so sick the next day... It was so stress ful.. I had to make 8 huge dummy cakes for the show.. it was the decorationg where all the work went into... was so tiring... never again..

Oh, I'd never want to do that! It's one thing to go to the studio and do a segment, but if they came to my house with cameras I'd have to clean up first, hahaha!
You really do really well on camera!! I had to be on tv for something at my work and I was a stuttering goober! You spoke well, and sounded as though you do tv work a lot!! Good job! I loved the pumpkin!
Awesome! Must have been exciting! So glad you mentioned not doing copyrighted characters for selling cakes!

Hey, any opportunity to give people a lecture! I also made sure to get in an insult of canned icing.
that's great. Being on TV is kind of fun, isn't it? I wouldn't mind doing it again if the right opportunity comes up.
I've been wanting to ask for the longest time....how did you come up with your name on CC?
I used to do costumes for the theater in college and afterward, and that's a pretty common costuming nickname. When I first joined on here I didn't post any business information because I thought that I might want to discuss specific client situations and I wanted to be anonymous. After a while I decided that I wasn't going to gossip about clients anyway, so I posted my business info and listings to my blog on here. It was basically just to have a nickname that wouldn't be traceable back to my website so that clients couldn't find me and beat me up!
I think you did a fantastic job even more so since it was a first for you.
And, even though you ran out of time I think you explained it really well that a newbie would have no problems trying it out!
Way to go!
I also made sure to get in an insult of canned icing.
You were wonderful! Thanks for letting us see the clip.
