Any tips or tricks for this??? I just ordered one and it should be here on wednesday and I have a wedding cake for Friday. I have been having horrible luck with Satin Ice cracking so I ordered Fondx and The Mat in hopes that my wedding cake does not crack.

Thanks for any advice

I LOVE my MAT! Have you seen the tutorial on you-tube? It works just like they say. Just don't store it standing up. The edge will wrinkle on your.

I have had The Mat for several months and I love it! I can roll out huge sections of fondant and if I get tired, I can leave it, take a break and it won't dry out. I did today roll out some Fonderific on it and it actually stuck on me! That was the first time that happened.

I love my mat. I've had it for almost a year and it is great. the only thing is when I rolled fodarific it did stick. I was fine with it because I am not really in love with fondarific.

I love the mat and Fondx. I covered nine cakes in no time using the mat. I had a hard time the first time I used the mat used a different fondant and it kept sticking. I had no problems with the Fondx. If your fondant sticks the first few times you use it try wiping off more of the shortening you used to season it with a paper towel. I think I put to much shortening on the mat so I had to wipe it really well and it worked fine. Make sure you wear a white shirt because the mat will attract any lint from your clothing.

I only use Fondarific and LOVE it because it has an amazing taste that I have not found in other fondants. Did it stick every time you used it with Fondirific or just the 1st time?

Cupadeecakes... you said that you use Fondarific and it stuck the 1st time, are you still having sticking issues?

I just want to make sure if I spend the money on The Mat that I can still use the fondant of my choice (Fondirific) without switching.

For me it kept sticking, even when I mixed it with some fondx. After a few tries I gave up and left it to use for other things.
