Can anybody help me?
Just wondered which tip to use on my piping bag to achieve the rosette swirls and what consistency my buttercream should be?
Any ideas for buttercream recipe would be gratefully received also.
Thank you.
We use the Wilton 1M tip but I recently saw someone from the UK using a Bennett Large closed star tube number 846. They both get the job done.
Ditto on the 1M tip. I used a crusting buttercream recipe when I did mine. Good luck with it!
You can also use swiss meringue buttercream and italian meringue buttercream. Both recipes on this site and all over the internet. Also, on this site lots of decorators use indydebi's b/c recipe(on this site) and sharon zambito recipe(also on this site.) The smbc and imbc are so delicious and creamy on cakes , etc. hth buttercream dream(also on this site is really good. If you need more help, just ask.

Thank you icer101 for the various recipes, Il have a look through them all and decide which I think. Do you know which is not too sweet?
I make my buttercream with icing sugar (i think this is what you call powdered sugar), butter and a little vanilla exrtract but it can be too sweet sometimes.
