Baby's 1st birthday Halloween themed cake...help!

Any good ideas out there? It has to be 3 tiers and serve approx 80 people. They want it spooky but still "babyish", not bloody or gory. Any help would be appreciated as I have cakers block at the moment, haha!

Go to Google. Type in "images, tiered cake, birthday, halloween" and you should have loads of images come up. Click on the one that suits you. icon_smile.gif

i had to make one exactly the same last year and what i did was soften the colors, like for black i used dark purple and for orange a semi dark peach shade, and also used white. one tier was just white with purple polka dots and the bottom one had like spider web inspired piping. it looked great it was cute but soft yet the halloween was still visible. hope this helps

Went to google and found this picture that might help/inspire you. Just make regular halloween things softer and less scary, more childish. Hope this picture helps. http://www.google.com/imgres?q=cutesy+halloween&hl=en&client=safari&sa=X&rls=en&biw=1274&bih=589&tbm=isch&tbnid=Rq3pZHlSVHiD4M:&imgrefurl=http://kristencraft.wordpress.com/&docid=JqAppkhq5vagmM&w=1274&h=906&ei=2FiLTvb9ELKCsgLj-ODJBA&zoom=1

P.S. If the image doesn't work try googling 'cutesy halloween' and clicking images it should be the first picture, let me know if it doesn't work and I will try and get the picture to you. I think it's really cute and hope it helps.

Thanks for all your help kids! My customer googled images and didn't really like what she saw so she's leaving the design up to me. I love when I get the chance to do that!
Divadidelights, I love that ghost tutorial!
Sandyvrc, I like the idea about softening the colors.
I hope to break my cakers block and come up with a cute design for her.
Thanks again everyone!
