Just venting...not the end of the world
I made a few dozen of beautifully decorated chocolate cupcakes with a PB buttercream drizzled with chocolate and garnished with a reese cup for a bake sale. I told them to make sure they stay out of direct sunlight. (it was cool and breezy that day).
Well, I was working just 10 feet away at another food booth and I kept glancing over and couldn't see them. Once I had a break in the action I walked over and the cupcakes were placed in bowls, buttercream no longer in a cute swirl, but a flattened out melted mess. In direct sunlight!!
My heart was broken. Is there no love for the cupcake anymore
They all sold and were eaten with forks! And I overheard a couple of people say how yummy they were (anyway)!
Sorry to hear all your hard work was ruined. Some people just have no common sense at all, don't care or just don't listen to instructions (this is where common sense would help). Glad that they sold anyway and people enjoyed them.
Sadly common sense isn't so common.......
The comfort you can draw from your day is.....at least they looked beautiful when you made and delivered them.....
Bluehue.
Ah! People sometimes just don't understand.
I delivered a four tier wedding cake the other week to an outdoor wedding and the wedding planner wanted to place it on the table in the sun...for 4 hours until the reception. I wasn't having that so I moved some tables around and put it in the shade.
It sounds like people enjoyed your cupcakes anyway!!
I agree some people just don't have a lick of sense. I wanted to use the word stupid, but thought I would offend someone, but that is really the truth
