how do you use b/c icing that contains butter, under the cottage food laws doesnt it have to be refriged??any feed would be great this is my first time at this thaks much mk

First, check your state's law, because every state is different. That said, many bc recipes that contain butter and milk do not need refrigeration, because the amount of sugar in the recipe stabilizes these ingredients, and the bc does not require refrigeration.
