I've read on here about Sam's Club icing, but was wondering about the taste and quality of Costco's. I don't have a Sam's close to me, and only just noticed some at Costco last week. I don't want to buy such a large tub and be disappointed.

Why not ask the costco bakery to let you try a sample, I'm sure they would let you, or purchase one of their cakes and give it a try.

That's a good idea! I'll check out their prices and try to pick up a small cake if they don't allow me to sample some.

Has anyone bought the icing at Costco?

My local Costco does not sell their frostings. I tried that, since I don't have a Sam's Club memebership. icon_sad.gif

I didn't see the brand because I was in a bit of a rush. I'll try to take another look if I can make it back this week. Thanks for the info.

Ok good to know because I thought I saw different colors, but I'm not familiar with Pastry Pride or what it looks like. Have you used any from your local Costco?

I've never bought any of it in the big containers, but have tasted it on cakes from there and it's very good! I wonder if anyone knows if it can be frozen - that's probably the only way I'd buy it since I wouldn't need to use that much at one time.

It would be the only way I could make it work too.

I went to Costco yesterday and saw lots of colors, but not white. When I inquired if they had any white somewhere the told me they wouldn't sell it. It's for their own use only.

COstco makes their buttercream out of scratch. We used to color our bc but since a few years ago they buy the colors for us. They don't sell items like that at all.
