Hi all!

As the title suggests... I want to make a cake for my brother-in-law's birthday. He's an engineer by trade.. but at the moment he's working in the Audit department of a cement company. His speciality of course is the technical side.. but he works with everything. I am at a loss as to what to bake him... I was going to do a "world" cake with pins in everywhere he goes for work etc... as he travels so much... but then I thought that might be a nicer idea to do for my hubby who travels even more! lol!

Any ideas??

Thanks in advance!

Vicky

How about a calculator cake? Or you can make a sheet cake and decorate it with gumpaste engineering tools.

Add in a blueprint? a pair of work boots? some drafting tools? The title of auditor made me think accounting and an old style calculator/adding machine. Good luck with the cake!

I was just looking up calculators the other day (my husband requested a scientific calc for his bday since he's an engineer). Lot's of fun old-style accountant type came up in the search. Not sure if that's the right type of auditor though. I love the idea of blueprints. My DH doesn't really use "engineering tools" anymore, it's all done virtually by computer. His main tools are his laptop & his sci calc.
