Somewhere on here I saw a simple template to make baby booties.
Does anyone know where I can find it?

Also is it o.k. to make the booties out of fondant rather than gumpaste? Thanks

Did you guys look under the galleries under templates? It's probably there.

Fondant alone is too soft and doesn't dry quickly enough to hold the shape. If I were going to use fondant instead of gumpaste, I would add Gum-Tex or tylose to it.

Sorry but I disagree (lets agree to disagree as my mum would say!) I make these booties all the time with MMF and do not add gum-tex or tylose. The trick to getting them to harden without losing shape is every time you do one step wrap them gently in popping plastic (you know the stuff that kids love to pop - not sure of its real name) and wait like a half hour before continuing onto the next step. It takes time but it's worth it. I've even taken mine overseas to my nephews as they love my photos and they arrived damage free.
If you look under Stellars child she has a brilliant template for the booties.
Good luck!
