I barricade the kitchen to keep my young kids away from the 4-tier wedding cake . . .

I hire a sitter to have 2 hours of uninterrupted decorating . . .

I rearrange the refrigerator to make room for the huge tiers . . .

. . .and then I stick my hand into the side of the finished cake! Someday I'll look back on this and laugh, right?!

(Don't worry, cake re-iced. I can sleep when I die, right?!)

Oh my, I'm so sorry! My sister did that to my very 1st wedding cake. She was pointing to something and her finger went ALL THE WAY IN! *faint* I feel your pain, and yes, someday you'll look back and laugh.

I hate it when I do that. I am forever sticking a finger in the side of cakes.

i did that on location with my first wedding cake lol.. good thing it was all one color and just had leaves and vines on it. i quickly piped new ones on and turned it to the back.
