If you click on galleries up above there was a Star Trek cake competition. You can scroll through those cakes to get some ideas. Some are very elaborate and difficult, but others were fairly simple.

You could do a FBCT on a sheet cake. A really simple one would be the symbol they have on their shirts. (Can you tell I also know nothing about Star Trek? icon_smile.gif )

Oh, just remembered like the one thing I DO know about star Trek, they do this hand signal and say "Live Long and Prosper" so if it's a B.day cake, that would be cute written on your cake.

you might be able to find the star trek cake deco kit ... I know my local cake supply store has it, but maybe walmart, michaels, or hobby lobby has it too:

I've had this Star Trek cake by Kay_NL in my favorites for a long time....just in case I needed a Star Trek cake. Really simple-just uses a heart-shaped pan.

This one probably wouldn't be simple, but I thought it was awesome. I saved it to my favorites in case I needed a star trek cake. My hubby is a trekkie. You might want to check it out.
