I had a question about applying photosheets / icingsheets to fondant. I understand how it works with buttercream, but what happens when fondant is painted with luster dust. Is there a trick to applying it?

My base cookie is a champagne bottle in dark green. I want to apply an orange champagne label to the cookie.

Will the label appear in proper color form or do I have to attach the label to white fondant first and then apply to the cookie with water or tylose glue?

Thank you all for your assistance.

I just apply a small amount of corn syrup to the back of the photosheet before I apply it to the fondant. Mix your glitter or dust with vodka and then with brush apply it to the fondant. Let it all dry overnight. Check my pictures, I have a champagne bottle that I did with the label transfers. hth
