Hi, I am almost embarrassed to ask this...but what exactly is whipping cream. I have a recipe for a chocolate peanut butter recipe that calls for whipping cream. My MIL told me it was heavy cream, so that is what I got at the store. I'm concerned bc all my other recipes that call for heavy cream say "heavy cream". Is this correct...or is whipping cream something else?

Thanks!

Whipping cream and heavy cream are basically the same thing. My shop-rite sells both products, but when I looked at the labels they were pretty much the same. Is your recipe for a frosting, a filling? You should be able to use the heavy cream with no ill effects.

Heavy cream has a higher butterfat content than the whipping cream
