I just got myself 50 lbs of high ratio shortening and I am dying to find a plain (or base) buttercream recipe that has a unique flavor that is distinguishable from the norm. I have tried almond,vanilla,and butter extract but maybe I am not putting enough of something in because my bc tastes like a less sweet version of Sam's Club bc ,not that it isn't good... just not noteworthy IMO -_-
