I already baked and filled a 5 tier book cake which was supposed to be for a birthday party this weekend. However it has been rescheduled for next weekend. My concern is I filled it with a filling made with bettercream and vanila pudding.
Have any of you frozen a cake with this filling before and was it still good? I really dont want to have to bake the cakes again.... please advice..... thanks
I think the Bettercreme is ok to be frozen. Actually when I bought it a long time ago it was frozen. It doesn't freeze all the way...it just gets a little slushy. I think you should be fine.
Make sure you wrap it well, and let it thaw out slowly..... It should be just fine.....
It will be just fine Whipped Bettercreme fzs well. As grama said, put it in the fzr, let it harden, wrap it well in plastic wrap, then into a sealed plastic bag or foil and it will be just fine. Best to take it from fz to frig the night before needing, then take it out & unwrap it to come to room temp.
