I don't know what you mean by the mods need to step it up
because I spend a minimum
of 5 hrs daily on CC editing/moving or removing posts and sending pm's or emails.
And spam posts don't always take a while
to remove since I often remove them almost immediately after they're posted. Of course, you wouldn't know that since no one had an opportunity to see them....
If you want to deter spam postings, here's how you can help.
#1 Use the "Report Bad Post" tab. (This tab disappears once the report is initiated.)
#2 Don't respond to the spam poster. This only keeps the thread popping up on the homepage (which is what the spammer wants).
#3 Don't post for moderator help in the thread - we won't necessarily see it. And any additional posts keep the thread active.
# 4 Don't ask other members to initiate a "Report Bad Post" notification on your moderator help post (see #3 above) as this also only keeps the thread alive and popping up on the homepage.
And I'm locking this thread because I know I'm doing as much as I can.... Some members will never be satisfied with CC moderating policies, and will never have a kind word for any of the moderators...
So if you wish to complain, please pm Heath.
