Which Is Your Favorite Fondant?

I don't have tons of experience with fondant, but more and more people want it, even on their cupcakes!
I think mine would be MMF because it is less expensive, but I am still inconsistent when I make it. Practice, practice... I like the taste of Duff, but this it get soft quick and is not very elastic -I got the samples of the Fondarific and they taste pretty good, but I haven't covered a cake with it. I just used the Fondex that I got when I bought THE MAT and I think I really liked it. The taste is just ok, but I loved working with it. Can't wait to try the Fondex Elite.....
What do you like and why?
I look at it this way most people are not going to eat the fondant. I bought 5 fonderific colors and was not happy with them at all, and just use them for little things.
Wilton is good to work with not bad on taste and super reasonable in cost compared to others especialy when you have to order on line and pay for shipping.
My favorite is Satin Ice double or more the price of wilton but nice to work with and takes color very well. I find this local but they still double the cost because of the shipping. so instead of paying the 8.95 as on some of the websites, they charge 17.95 or more to make up the shipping charges.
I haven't gotten into making my own because i want to have my fondant consisitant and don't want to take the time to make something and have it messed up and have to make more until I get it right. I don't have time for that. So its best for me to just buy it.
Just remember if it is stiff and hard, to heat it up in the microwave for a few seconds and it will be smooth and easy to knead and roll out.
My favorite fondant is Michelle Foster's fondant in the recipe section. It is easy to make, tastes delicious, and is very workable. I add white chocolate to it and it is to die for!! My customers love it!
I like Satin Ice as well. Wilton is best for making decorations though, I found that Satin Ice is softer so it takes longer to set and when I was trying to roll out a rope as a border it kept ripping, but the Wilton held up.
My newest favorite though is Ballina! IDK much about it other than some of the directions are written in Spanish, but it comes in vanilla, chocolate, and white chocolate flavors. It is delicious, and on my last cake I made 2 layers of Satin Ice and 1 layer of Ballina, had my friends try both, and most of them preferred the Ballina to Satin Ice (not even going there with Wilton, tastes NASTY! but once again easiest to roll out and work with). Ballina was also a little firmer than Satin Ice. I searched on this forum and nobody really mentioned Ballina, does anyone know more about it?
Michele Foster's fondant in the recipes section and the Satin Ice black, red and ivory (I keep black and red around for detail work and if I have a huge cake I just go ahead and order the ivory instead of making Michele's fondant.) Other than that I prefer Michele Foster's fondant.
Satin Ice is my favorite. I'll use Wilton in a pinch since I can get it locally. I do like the taste of Duff, but it wasn't so nice to work with.
some of you mentioned the Michele Foster recipe. I found 2 different ones. Which do you use?
Satin ice is the best for covering a cake and I think the vanilla flavor is pretty good. I will use Wilton if I have too for decorations but not covering a cake Its not soft enough for me.
