Hey guys, I wanted to this a cake out of this one character whose a stuffed animal, i was wondering if anyone had any tips for how to do the fur.
Here's a photo of a stuffed animal with the type of fur that i want to replicate.

Either use a grass tip and pipe buttercream, or if covering in fondant use scissors to snip the fondant randomly all over until it looks like fur. HTH

I too would use the grass tip...... it takes a while, but you would get good results ........

I have used the grass tip or tip 21. I have used both to make Elmo fur in the past.

There is a really great Youtube video of a woman making a dog and her fur is manipulated fonant but it's very tufted like fur. Here is the link:

I was watching Fabulous Cakes the other night, and the woman was making furry slippers and a furry robe to go with a bathtub. She used the bumpy side of a meat mallet on fondant to get the fur texture. She lightly and repeatedly hit the fondant. Seems like you'd have to have a gentle hand, though haven't tried it myself.
