I'm planning a party for my aunt's 60th birthday this weekend and it's a Board Games theme. I printed an edible Scrabble board for a 14" square cake.
Now...
1) would you make the letter tiles out of gumpaste or would you make small square cookies for the tiles?
2) I mentioned to my cousin that I was going to make gumpaste tile holders - but he suggested just using plastic ones. I know they'll go to waste, but something inside me just can't let go of the "they shouldn't be plastic". Am I nuts?

I'm also making an edible boggle game - 3" cube cakes -- 25 of them -- 5 rows of 5 across. The cubes will spell out a message and I googled that message to calculate the number of actual words possible with that layout. Those cakes are going to be favors for the guests, but they can play the board throughout the party (since nothing gets 'touched")

I made Scrabble tile cookies (4") as well. Am I missing anything? She loves the word games (hence the scrabble, boggle, etc)

I made mine out of gumpaste and marbled a little brown coloring in it. I have pics of 2 versions of a scrabble cake.
