Baking a marshmallow in a cupcake??

I am experimenting with S'mores cupcakes. I was wondering if anyone has actually baked a marshmallow inside the cupcake? I tried using marshmallow creme as a filling, but it was hard to work with and I did not get enough filling into the cupcake. The graham cake was good and I have a good chocolate frosting, just need to get the marshmallow part. Thanks.

I make a rocky road cupcake that I bake pecans, chocolate chips, and mini marshmallows in.

The marshmallows usually rise up to the top and kind of melt into the top of the cupcake.

What about using a chocolate filling and marshmallow frosting? That's how I do my rocky road cupcakes. I haven't had luck baking marshmallows.

What are you using to put the filling into the cupcake? You could use an apple corer and that would be big enough for the filling; just use a regular pastry bag with a coupler. Or even put some marshmallow creme in and then insert a marshmallow? I haven't done any of this, but it might work.

This is what happened when I tried to bake marshmallows inside cupcakes.

I finally when with a chocolate cupcake with a marshmallow like frosting for my S'Mores cupcake.

Freeze the marshmallow.

I make my own marshmallow filling with egg whites and sugar, and fill my cupcakes with that

Thanks for the feedback.. I am thinking it might make more sense to do the chocolate inside and a marshmallow frosting. Or I have to do a different marshmallow filling. I will give this another shot soon.
