Hi!!!

Im doing a 21st cake for my sister ....... I want to make twirleys out of fondant...... any tips? icon_eek.gif

Gumpaste! At least a 50/50 ratio or I can never get them to harden up enough.

Cut thin strips of gp/fondant and wrap them around a pencil or straw or anything round like that. Allow to dry several hours to overnight and slip them off.

I do exactly as kakeladi described, only I insert a toothpick into one end before I let it dry overnight. That way I can have them coming up out of the top of the cake (like the sonic cake in my pics.) Have fun with it! I think they add a cute and whimsical touch 
