you feel threatened by her comment on her wedding? i don't see her post as bashing at all--it's her wedding--she loves cake--it's just not important for her big day--she's within her rights to not want an expensive cake--i think she means she wants a pretty cake--right?

she says she doesn't want to serve amazing cake--that's a nod that cakes here are amazing--did you guys read her post? she calls peeps here 'fancy bakers'--isn't that complimentary?

would you rather she set up appointments for tastings far and wide then never order?

what-at

AI doubt anyone like that would get to the point of arranging a tasting with a "fancy baker". Hopefully they'd be asked about the style they preferred, and their budget, and it would be obvious that they were seeking something cheap and standard, and the grocery store was where they would be happiest.I carefully screen clients before arranging anything. No use in wasting their time, no use in wasting mine or my ingredients.

AAnd I love Wal-Mart. Don't love the crowds and the staff that can't answer simple questions, but I buy most of my household goods and bathroom stuff there. Food, sometimes. Not cake, but pretty much anything else.
