what do you charge for delivery? I have been asked to make cupcakes for a wedding that is about 35 km (20 miles?) away. I include local delivery (for orders above $60) but I don't have a rate for further then that.

I think the government amount is 55 cents a mile now, but you have to remember it's a round trip and many people charge $1 mile.
I have free delivery in town, about a 10 mile radius over $25. I block all my deliveries together to save time. After that it's the 55 cents a mile. I may change it with gas prices, but so far that works.

The first ten miles (round trip) are complimentary. After that I charge $2.00 a mile.
The federal allotment for mileage does not take into account the wear and tear and depreciation of my car.

It also doesn't take into account compensating you for your time.
We charge $1/minute round trip.

thanks. That gives me a better idea. Would you also charge for set up too?

Yes, we charge $30 for the first 30 minutes, then $30 each additional 30 minutes. There have been occasions where the venue was not ready at the agreed upon delivery time, and waiting-around-time counts as setup time.
