Refrigerate Cream Cheese Frosting Or Not?

Does the CC frosting need to be refrigerated? Or how long can you leave it out onces it is on a cake?

Yes, it has to be refrigerated...it'll go bad in room temp in a few hours (I guess). I just made my first cream cheese frosting cake yesterday and I doubt I'll do it again. I was worried about it even while decorating.
