Hello well I got volunteered into doing a last minute cake for for grandmas 75th surprise party. I'm kind of lost on ideas. It's going to be a black and white cake. She's very into music. Used to be in a band so I wanted to tie that in. It's going to be a 3 tier round cake. Any ideas would be great!!

I was thinking doing a stencil on the bottom tier do something with music on the middle and wasn't sure about the top. I just don't know. I hate being rushed into things. Its for this weekend. Lovely huh?

For THIS weekend - like tomorrow??- or next?
You're on the right track w/your planning. Not sure what you mean w/stencilling on the bottom - how will it tie in w/the music? For the top, I'd maybe combine the stencil w/music notes randomely around.
It won't take much for a 6"er top. For a topper, maybe bring in a bit of color - some roses just tipped w/pink or yellow or whatever her favorite color is? You could also add a couple of those to the bottom tier.

Also take a look at the black and white gallery that should spark something as well. I love the idea of doing music notes. Pick two things and use that for the theme on your cake that always helps me simplify. Good luck - I'm sure it will be amazing and she will love it!

Yea I'm just stuck. I like music notes but I would only want to do one tier music notes not sure about the other. And
I don't want all white tiers.
