There's nothing like having a cake disaster at the worst time possible. A local paper wanted to do a story about me and my cupcakes. The night before the interview, I spotted the giant cupcake pan at the store. I'd never made one before. I thought it'd be great to decorate it for the photo shoot. I baked it early morning before the interview. The top stuck to the pan and cracked. I didn't have time to make another, so I patched it up with frosting.

Half way though the photo shoot, it completely falls apart. I threw my hands in front of it yelling "No more pictures!". I was beet red and laughing. The reporter and my husband were laughing. I'll never be able to look at that article without thinking about it. Luckily, the picture the reporter used was taken just before it fell apart. You can tell in the picture though that it's about to go.

Thank you! I didn't get to see the actual paper until late last night. It was the cover story! I'm so glad he didn't use a picture showing the cupcake falling apart.
