Made the "white on white cake" tonight. In addition to good vanilla extract, I also sliced open two vanilla beans and scraped out the 'goodies' of the beans and put that in the batter, too. Man, that batter was so tasty! Possibly the best tasting batter I've ever had. I can't wait to try this cake (Sunday), because this batter is fabulous!

I do intend to use vanilla beans more often. It lends such an exquisite flavor!
