Has anybody tried the Red Velvet Revenge Cake in the recipes section? I was thinking of having a go at it. It doesnt say what size tins to use, although it does say to use 3 of them. I was guessing 8inch.
Also, has anybody any idea what the conversions are from US to UK?
Im pretty sure it can fit 2. 8inch pans. I am trying the tweaked red velvet. Let me know how yours turns out
I might bake this tomorrow so I will let you know, but i'm torn between this and a Guinness and Baileys cupcake recipe i'v found. Mmmm They both sound so nice

Oh well I decided on the guinness and baileys and they were great. Had few problems. The ganache wasn't thick enough so I had to whisk it, which then ended up as chocolate cream But it still tasted good. And the cake part tasted a bit too bitter for me. Don't know if it was me putting too much cocoa, not enough sugar Maybe it is meant to taste like that because of the guinness.
Anyway made up for it with the baileys buttercream Probably over the limit to drive if you ate just one haha Give them a go and let me know what you think . Did you do your red velvet cake Snowbabe? If so, how did it go?

If the Red Velvet Revenge is the one where the baker was exacting revenge on her mother in law by publishing her recipe, then yesm, absolutely! It's almost identical to Cakeman Raven's recipe, and I absolutely love it! I would cut down a little bit on the oil amount, as it can be an oily product, but the taste is wonderful! (definitely not an "almost chocolate but red" cake, though, if that's what you think of when you think of Red Velvet ... it's a true buttermilk RV). And yes, it's 8-inch tins. HTH!
Red Velvet Revenge is a delicious cake - I used Wilton No Taste Red for no bitterness at all. This cake - I couldn't stay out of, my husband and I both loved it.
