Hello All!

I'm not very skilled as of yet, because I'm quite young, and working out of my home kitchen. I don't have many supplies, short of what I can get from my local craft store. Anyway, a few weeks back, my father's fire company had to keep their trucks in a friendly company's house until the floors were finished being painted. As a thank you, I wanted to make them a cake. For my father's birthday in April, I made a helmet cake that came out pretty good, being my first big cake. I'm in need of ideas to do for this up coming cake. I'm probably leaning toward a rectangualar cake. I'm just not sure of the design yet... I was just going to do a puddle (blue fondant) with a hose, but next to that, gold fondant as a pole. Or maybe a little more complex, but I'm, not sure. Any idea's are GREATLY appreciated!

Thank You! usaribbon.gif

What about a building (cut a rectangular sheet in half and stack) that looks similar to the firehouse you are thanking. You could use fondant for the doors and windows and then pipe the name on. Also you could possibly add a fondant banner that says "Thanks from Engine Company XYZ!"
