Does anybody have the Cuisinart 7Qt Mixer? It's pretty expensive, but it's the biggest home mixer I've seen which sounds pretty good to me. icon_biggrin.gif I hear alot of people talking about their Kitchen-Aid Mixers and I was wondering about the Cuisinart? TIA

I have one and LOVE it!!! I really like the added feature of the timer on it. Have had it for 3 years now, lots of use and have had mo problems!

I have it and I love it. I also have an kitchen aid and really love that one too. Depends on how much mixing that I'm doing.

I am considering buy one also. My KA is giving out on me and I have only had it 2 years. That buttercream really works it! The cheapest I have been able to fine the C-7qt is 399!

I LOVE my Cuisinart!! So nice to be able to double and triple recipes without ingredients near the top. I have a KA and love that also. I would so definitely buy the 7 quart!!

I have had the 7qt for about 3 years, and also a new 5.5 (I go once a week to my aunt's house, so I left that one there just in case I have to make cupcakes). I love them! I especially love the 7qt. And I love that timer.

I bought the 7qt to make bread, and then I got into cakes.

I have had mine for a few years now and it is awesome! I make a lot of bread and fondant in it and that motor never strains, it mixes everything with ease.

There's a new 7qt Kitchen-Aid that just came out this week. I think it's only sold at Williams Sonoma and it's definitely pricey (almost $600!) but it's another 7qt mixer option for the home baker.

Amazon has it for about 370 and sears for 360. Also, Bonton/Carsons keep them in stock on and off on their websites at good prices. This is where I got the 5.5 Qt for 175 about a year ago.

I have the 7Qt and I do like a lot better than my KA which I still have. It can handle much larger batches of cake batter and cookie dough. It is definitely a LOT lighter in weight than my KA. The bowl is not optimal in that it's shape is still difficult to scrape down but overall I like it better than my KA.

You can order the 7 quart from Bed Bath and Beyond and use a 20% off coupon. If you order from home you have to take the receipt in and they should refund you the 20%. Sometimes they will send you 20% off coupons to use online with free shipping. I have on that expires tonight and the shipping expired yesterday. I will have to wait to order mine, I've been saving up on my Discover bonus points to use at BBB.
