hey peeps,

does anyone know where i can buy candied lemon slices like they use in dc cupcakes for their lemon blossom cake? I've e-mailed georgetown cupcake but they cant give me the vendor details (damn!), and i've tried making my own but they are way too big for the cakes.

I just need the little one just like the ones they use. Anyone know where i can get them from?

The link did not open, not sure exactly what your looking for but Walmart has gormet candied slices in their candy section comes in many different colors... hope this helps

I can't really tell from the photo what the lemon is made of - but are you just trying to replicate the "look" of the topper? You can make them from fondant or GP, or like the comment above suggest, get some of the jelly candy fruit slices from the grocery/Walmart. The come as half-moon slice shapes, you could always halve or quarter them to make them smaller for your toppers. HTH!

Good question! I have wondered that as well. I wonder why they can't give vendor details. The link mburkett linked has the best I've seen.

Their candied lemon and lime slices look just like the ones Georgetown uses. Maybe you could call or e-mail and ask them? They might be able to share. I'm planning to stop in there one of these days, so I can ask too!

Cream, if you need them in the UK, I know I've got them in Tesco before. Online should be cheaper for bulk though.

Those little slices are SOOO cute! I picked ones up from my local Bulk Barn and they were HUGE:

Unfortunately, Decopac doesn't carry them anymore. I get mine from www.nuts online.com and they are the most delicious ones I have ever had! They are on the larger side, we we cut ours in 1/2 or 1/3 for service. They are really nice there and the shipping is fast.

Also, try searching "lemon jellies" or "lemon jelly slices" for better results.
