Ever go through your mind? Yeah im having one of those days. I decided that I would be nice and make some cupcakes for the girls at my hair salon. (Where I do my hair not own). So then at first I m super excited and think its gonna be awesome. Well not so much. First my pina colada cupcakes come out horrible. What a total bust! Not to worry I also made some red velvet ones too. Not so fast my bad luck tells me. I don't know why but I decide to flip over the cupcake and they are burnt the bottom. Why I cannot tell you but I have decided to blame the liner. I bought some new cupcake liners that are supposed to stand on their own eliminating the need for a cupcake pan. Yeah whatever! They suck! You still need a cupcake pan if you want them to look like normal cupcakes. If don't mind that get all open then by all means be my guest! Anyways so now I am off to the salon empty handed. So much for "Im going to be nice today" whole morning and day wasted why do I even bother? Im not sure why. But I think I like to make my life difficult. I always think what am I going to do when Im married and have kids. When will I sleep? Can you hear the panic in my voice? I guess that's just me. Will I change ? Probably not.

Yep! I agree with scp... I had been wondering why things were taking too long to bake in my oven at 325 as well as having seemed to not be rising properly as of late. So I spent 3.99 on an oven thermometer and it seems as though it's a whopping 25 degrees off!!! So definitely spend the money and get an independent oven thermometer. I found mine on the "gadgets" aisle at the local Publix supermarket.
I've never had a problem with anything burning but ill try the independent thermometer idea.
