How long can I freeze a cake for? I have frozen them a few days in advance before but never for long periods of time. What is the longest you think a cake could be frozen and still edible?

TIA

I have frozen stuff for a month before. I wrap tightly in plastic wrap, then again in foil.

I'm sure they can be frozen much longer if they are wrapped well.

I believe the recommended length is 3 months tops if well wrapped and sealed.

The expiration date on frozen layers from wholesalers is typically 6 months.

1st anniversary cakes are frozen for a year.

As long as they are wrapped airtight they'll be fine and won't get freezer burn.
