Hi Everyone,

I am having a problem while airbrushing solid colors on cakes. My forndant starts to show small cracks. I wqs wondering if I am supposed to let the fondant set and if so for how long? before I start airbrushing.

I thank you in advance for your help!

I always airbrush my cakes right after laying fondant! Cracking tells me there is a problem with the fondant being too dry before you lay it, or it sets, then you move it with out proper support under the cake. You want you fondant to be moist...but not soaking with shortening! I guess mine actually end up setting up for 30 mins to an hour after I get all the extra cornstarch off!
