So I made this recipe for this buttercream flavored MMF last week and it is AMAZING!!!! Last night I decided to try the chocolate version but I can't get it to come together at all it's a crumbly fudgy mess. I kneaded in plenty of crisco and let it sit over night and I'm not having any luck. ANyone have any tips of suggestions with working with this. I was thinking of melting some more marshmallows and working them in to try and get some pliability out of it. TIA!!!!

what kind of chocolate did you use? that could have an effect on how the MMF came out. did you use 100% bakers chocolate, or did you use coating chocolate? or did you use semi sweet chocolate? other than the chocolate, it should have been fine, so i would assume thats your problem. can you warm it up and work it back together? maybe try a little more marshmallow or a little corn syrup to add some wetness to bring it together. i've only made mmf a few times, so not 100%, but it might be somewhere to start
I used baker's chocolate since that's what the recipe called for. I did try and seperate it in half then add more melted marshmallows with corn syrup but I never got it back together. I had some plain BCMMF and added some of the melted chocolate mixture to that and eventually got it to incooporate together but it took forever, was a pain and hardly had any chocolate flavor.
