Help!!! I made a cake this past weekend and after design it I realized that the fondant was bulging. Looked almost like the buttercream was oozing. How do I fix this? I have a wedding coming up and need to correct this NOW!!!! icon_mad.gif

I recently had that problem. It was because the icing( cream cheese, first time using it under fondant) was too thick. From what I have learned when using fondant you should use the least amount of icing under it as possible. Kind of the amount used to crumb coat.

Did you give your cake time to settle? It's important after you have put the icing on it, to give it time to settle (I usually let mine settle overnight) before you put the fondant on it.
