Is there a formula for how many candy melts per mold?

I've been flying by the seat of my pants and got to wondering if there is any kind of way to figure out a the amount of candy melts to use in any particular melt-and-pour candy mold.

I know these can be remelted for future use without any problems, but I would like to get things closer to accurate...and not have so much leftover chocolate (did I just say that?! Leftover chocolate that I EAT! lol )

I guess I should maybe start making notes, huh? That way I'd know how much chocolate I use and how many lollypops I get out of it.

Juuuust wondering if anyone has any tried and true info about this.

I did a search for "formula" but didn't come up with anything for this.

Theres none that I know of since they are all different sizes

I mak ecandy bark with my leftovers. Throw in whatever I have in the cabinets... Craisins, almonds, pretzels... whatever

Chocolate covered popcorn is another good use for left overs. icon_smile.gif

Really because mold sizes and shapes very so much, I think you'll have to do a trial and error thing then keep notes.

I don't now if it would work, but you could try to fill the mold with water, then measure how much water that is, then take that measurement and melt some candy melts to fit.
