Hi! I've been combing forums and threads, but I haven't found exactly the info I need just yet, I hope you can help! I am making a shuttle cake, using a real toy shuttle that will be standing upright, and I want the shuttle to look like it's just ignited the boosters and is "blasting" off. I was contemplating using prepackaged white cotton candy for the puffs of steam / smoke that is generated when the boosters ignite, and I know I have to do it close to presentation time...do you have any other tips or suggestions to offer? I also don't know how to get the cotton candy to stay put, or how to manipulate it so that it is less clumpy and flat. Help!
