How do I apply material ribbon on the sides of a fondant covered board?
What can I use to adhere it?

I cut the fondant even with the edge of the cake board and then use hot glue to glue my ribbon directly to the side of the boards. Hope that makes sense.

Thank you. I wasn't sure if I could use hot glue

I just use Tacky Glue...hot glue is not my friend...I always get little strings when I try to use it.

I use Elmer's. I also get those strings using hot glue and I usually end up burning myself!

Double sided tape works for me (assuming that you didn't put the fondant down over the edge of the cake base) HTH!

I always use royal icing. Works like a charm!

I like to use decorative headed straight pins. I find that 4 will do nicely.
